This is the last instalment of my article “The Secrets of the Favored”. Part one talked about loyalty while part two explained the power of silence. Well, if there is power of silence, there is also power of the word— and this is the last secret: The Word.
The wisdom is just so deep and I will try to explain it the simplest way I can. The problem I see with most people is that they don’t even honor the fact that we are more than this physical body. You can say you are your race, family background, or religion. But in reality, you are also a soul, a spirit, an energy— or however you may wanna call it, inside this human body having a human experience for your spiritual evolution. You are an extension of the universe. There is godliness in every part of you. When you think, feel, or say something, you are basically practicing your godly characteristics among many others.
I am writing a separate article about this. But for now, I want to establish a fact that G-d is never outside of you. It is part of you regardless how fucking lame or failure you may think you are. If your thoughts cannot process the simple concept of godliness in you, then it will be hard for you to digest the entire logic of this article.
One of G-d’s characteristics and wisdom can be found on the first page of the holy book of any religious books; and that is creation. And because there is godliness in you, you are so capable of creating anything only if you decide so. This is one of the many reasons I have my utmost respect for artists, painters, sculptors, musicians, in general. I honor the godly practice of creation. Most people missed one part of the biblical creation; the most important factor in it. It’s very simple yet I believe it’s still hidden to many. “God said; let there be light.” Read that again.
If you still don’t get it, the secret of creation is already revealed on the first page. So, what’s the most important factor of creation? “G-d said; let there be light.” Yes, the Creator did not just think about it. He ‘said’ it. He gave life to it by speaking it. It’s the ‘sound’, it’s the Word. I’ve never heard a bastard who had manifested something so bold as this, so intelligent, and so confident in my entire lifetime. It’s not enough that you think about it or carefully plan about it; the Word is very important factor of creation. You have to speak it to create it. If you know the story of Tower of Babel, let me quote it; “The L-rd said, if they have begun to do this as one people, all having the same language, THEN NOTHING THEY PLAN TO DO WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM.” Still, the power of the Word is there.
The Word is a powerful practice even in ancient time. Even King David must be a huge fan of it. If you gonna read the entire Psalms, these are bunch of affirmations. “The L-rd is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” How badass is that? King David did not only win battles using the power of the Word but he had also won over his feelings of insecurity by using it. “I will fear no evil for you are with me.” —that was a king pacifying himself over uncertainty and nobody fucking tells you that you can’t do the same. The entire Psalms are bunch of positive declarations and affirmations of security and power. Once you saw this, you’ll never read Psalms the same way again.
I wake up everyday in gratitude. Thank you is my first word as soon as my feet hit the floor. I would immediately wash my hand and pray Netilat Yadayim (Jewish praying for washing of hands) then I would prepare myself for Modeh (Jewish morning pray.) I would sing Modeh and it goes like this: Modeh ani l’faneykha, melech chai vekayam, she-hechezarta b nishmati bechemlah, rabbah emunatekha (I offer thanks to you, living and eternal King, for you have mercifully restored my soul within me. Your faithfulness is great.) I passed this habit even to my kid and before I even have my coffee or look at my thing to-do’s which I made the night before, I make sure I would feel grateful with everything I have. It would be usually followed by Tibetan bowls playing the entire house and I would say something like ’I command this day to be prosperous and abundant by my divine right.’ I command my day like a fucking badass to set the tone of the day.
How many of you have heard of the “good rice, bad rice experiment”? The same rice was kept in two separate containers. The first one was praised every day by simply saying “Thank you rice”, while the other was being cussed every day. The first container lasted longer while the second one rotten in less than 6 hours. In Physics, it is called the observer effect. It is when the observer effects the thing that is being observed.
A lot of people have been asking me like how I do things I do or some clients consult me and tell me how their finances are in bad shape and how hopeless their situations are. My answer has been consistent: start with being kind to yourself. Speak kind words to yourself. The world magnifies the kind of bastard that you think you are. If you think you are hopeless, you are right. If you think you have a lot of potentials, you are also correct.
This is also my secret for winning hundreds of bidding. Before I attend the meetings, I make sure I am at my best self. I say things like “I am okay with myself. I like myself.” I say that about ten times until the bastard in me is fully convinced. After that, I suddenly become what I fucking say and let me tell you that I never missed one single bidding. The only time I lost biddings are those rare times when I don’t want the project bad enough anyway. The thing is whether you think you are somebody or a nobody, either way you are correct.
Another power of the Word aside from it can make things happen is that it can also stop things from happening and sometimes almost instantly— even your thoughts. Have you experienced remembering an embarrassing or traumatic experience in the past like a fucking replay in your mind and to stop it; you’d either make a utterance, perhaps a simple “No!”, “Shit!”, or other creative cuss you can come up with to stop these thoughts? This is because your thoughts stop when you talk because the brain has to listen to what you say. That’s how powerful the Word is.
I just can’t stress enough the importance of the power of the Word. It has the power to create and stop things. The Word is gift to us and we shall start making good use of it. When you master the Word as your ultimate weapon, winning becomes very easy for you. And by the way, just in case you still don’t get it, the Word I’ve been talking about in this entire article is that Word that can be found in John 1:1. Read this last paragraph and replace Him every time the Word appears and I swear, you’ll never read and understand this article the same way again, yeah? Thank you very much. Shalom.
