The Secrets of The Favored: PART ONE

We all have that one friend who seems to be fortunate to prosper anything that he touches, be it relationship or wealth; or that one bastard who seems to be very lucky in anything he does. But what if I tell you right now that nothing is merely an accident? What if it was never a fluke to be at the right place at the right time when fucking opportunity comes? Apparently, there are some bastards in this world who figured out how to be the favored one.

I know a lot of people who had done great in school and in fact graduated with honors but landed an average job, earning a little and not maximizing their potentials. Whereas some of the people I know who didn’t do good in school earn twice as much as ten average people combined. In fact, these people who are not very academically intelligent can establish things in three short years what some highly educated people hardly achieve in 10 years. Fluke? Luck? As unbelievable as it can be, there is a pattern.

Regardless of your talent, educational background, or what kind of family or race you came from; all self-made millionaires (be it corporate or entertainment industry), have some things in common. They all possess these three things before the source, luck, fortune, or whatever you want to call it rewarded them. These are the 3 concepts and I am discussing the first one in this article.

The Concept of Loyalty

If money and opportunity control your loyalty, then this article is not for you to begin with. If you can’t be loyal to your own dreams, then fortune will always be that one elusive bitch you play an endless chase with. If it’s easy for you to just forget about your dreams for a high paying salary, then stop reading this right now because this shit is not for you.

First of all, there is a reason why you have a particular dream in your heart. Secondly, your talents, dreams, and passion are actually the clues of your very purpose. These are actually hints of what you are designed to do all your life.

Some people may laugh at you, others would mock you and criticize you for having this dream that only you can understand. Well the thing is, your dream, regardless how impossible they may seem, is never really meant to be understood. It’s never your business to explain it to everyone else. They may never understand it but stay loyal to your dreams anyway.

If anyone criticizes you for pursuing the craziest ideas or passion you have, please don’t get discouraged. Some bastards do not have the sense of fire in their hearts simply because they chose to live in man-made bubble and the illusion of security and limitation. I call them the sleep walkers of life who just settle for whatever shits being thrown at them regardless how they may feel about it. Remember that there are two kinds of bastards; the one who eats whatever food is on the table and the other who decides what food to be on the table. Always choose to be the latter.

Do you know that the multi-billionaire Oprah Winfrey was once tired from her first hosting job because according to the producer, she was unfit for television? Or one of the most creative men in the history, Walt Disney, who was kicked off from his job because according to his editor, he lacked the creativity and imagination? Are these talents a fucking joke to you?

I understand that responsibilities and monthly bills are fucking consistent and they just won’t stop. You might be stuck in a job that covers your dues but a good time management can fucking do the trick. Maybe you can spend 20 minutes a day doing your passion. I know it’s easier said than done but if you keep on working just for the heck of paying your bills, then trust me, that’s the only thing that you would have ever accomplished: paying the bills. But isn’t that sad? Waking up and working everyday just to pay the bills? That sounds exhausting. How many bastards out there had their major heartbreaks and breakthrough when they followed their passion? All of them.

One of the richest women today had once been fired from her job because she was writing stories on her computer all day long. Being jobless, divorced, and having one dependent were not easy. Imagine how hard it was for her to stay loyal to her dreams when there’s a life depending on her? Difficult. Fucking difficult but possible. After she had finished her manuscript, it was turned down by 12 major publishers. What more could be discouraging, yeah? But thanks to this woman I am talking about for never giving up on her dreams and giving the world blockbuster movies and selling over 500 million copies of Harry Potter book series worldwide. I am talking about J.K. Rowling.

I’m sure you’ve heard of a man who once tried to go to law school but got rejected. He had run in legislature (and got lost from election), so he had put up a business, and then failed again. He had suffered 6 months of depression, lost eight elections, before he had finally become the President of the United States. I’m talking about Abraham Lincoln.

If you want an easy path, then stick with the rest of sleep walkers of life and survive each day. But if you want a major breakthrough, then stick with your passion. It’s not going to be easy but the result is fucking phenomenal. You won’t just fucking survive but you’ll have a life worth living.

There shall be no excuse for not being loyal to your passion. Maybe you think that you are too young or too old. Remember that Mark Zuckerberg is a multi-millionaire at age of 32 while Colonel Harland Sanders has sold KFC recipe at 65. It’s not your age, your ugly past, nor your financial status shall stop you from being loyal to your passion. Now if all these shits are still not enough to motivate you because you wanna stay in sleep-walking state, then you have a lot of explaining to do to The One who has entrusted that dream in your heart. Yeah, the guy up there who made you singular, distinct, and in perfect design to serve your purpose in a way that nobody else can.

Do not let this year, or this month, or today just pass you by again. Forget the time that you’ve wasted and the years that were lost. It’s about time that you focus on the times you have left. Wake up from sleep walking of life because life is waiting today. Shalom!
